So how do we create our reality and why are we “hacking” the subconscious mind?
Our beliefs are held in our subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is like a supercomputer, and a record player, it records experiences from our earliest moments onwards. Not some of them, all of them. You can think of it as our software, and our life is the printout..
Some of the beliefs we hold, are old, outdated, limiting beliefs that might have been created by a mind of a 3 year old, or by observing dysfunctional patterns or limiting beliefs of others, etc. They might not be supporting us or aligned with our conscious goals and wants.
So until we change the basic software of the subconscious, our hard drive, our life won’t change.
Dr. Bruce Lipton says, “The major problem is that people are aware of their conscious beliefs and behaviors, but not of the subconscious beliefs and behaviors. Your subconscious beliefs are working either for you or against you, but the truth is that you are not controlling your life, because your subconscious mind supersedes all conscious control.”
If we hold beliefs that are contrary to our goals —which were created in our conscious mind—reaching them will be very hard and in most cases, impossible. In order to create the change we want, we need to change the beliefs that are not serving us, that are limiting us in some way.
